Uniforms available to all.
We did it
On 7th July 2021 we successfully raised £2,600 with 38 supporters in 28 days

Uniforms are expensive. We want everyone to have access to a uniform, this project will help fund a uniform library for athletes to borrow.

 New stretch target

We really want to offer a large range of uniform sizes so that we do not hit any barriers. £2500 will only be the starting point we will continue to raise funds so that this offer is available to all athletes who need it helping our club and sport grow in popularity through increased participation.

East Coast Warriors Cheer and Dance Skegness

Our aims are to develop well-being, Improve health and fitness, tackle social isolation, develop future leaders, support local events, raise aspirations, build confidence and self esteem and teach young people to never give up.

As a non profit organisation based in Skegness on the Lincolnshire East Coast we are located in a area of high depravation. Most families only work seasonally due to the high influx of holiday makers during the summer months meaning that income during winter months can be substantially reduced. The reduction in disposable income is often a barrier for participation in cheerleading due to the high uniform costs needed for competitions and performances.

Our club helps young children to be better individuals by focussing on activity showing drive and determination not only for themselves but for their team mates. It ensures that the children are not out on the streets and they are safe in a warm welcoming environment whilst keeping physical activity supporting both their physical and mental health.

Our athletes enjoy cheerleading as they feel part of a team some of their best friendships and memories are made in the gym alongside reaching new goals and skills helping in raise there self esteem and self worth. We offer opportunities for junior coach training for the athletes personal growth and helping to support the growth of our younger members.

How is this project helping our club? This project is not intended to help the club as such our intention is to help the children whose parents may not be able to commit them to attend our classes. Although our training costs are low the costs increase when uniforms are required for the children to take part in competitions and performances. This project is to fund a uniform library that new athletes who may not be in a position to own a uniform can discretely borrow a uniform allowing them the opportunity to grow and enjoy the sport of cheerleading. The growth we see as coaches when a child develops more confidence new skills and new friendships is un-describable but for some the barrier of uniform costs is too much to allow them this opportunity.

Please support our cause by voting or donating to allow this fantastic opportunity to more young people.
