This started as such a simple idea , when I was coaching at RDA and realised the reason so few adults could ride there was the issue of helping them mount taller horses. So I came up with a design......
I presented it to some other charities and they thought it was a great idea! Sport England agreed and we won an Innovation Award from them! Local Enterprise support taught us lots about running it all properly too! All this support means it is now built and on the road!
It is purpose-built horsebox with a wheelchair lifting platform and pop-out side. This creates a large living area (with loo and kitchen) which the horses look into! It's big enough for a wheelchair to turn around in too.
Perfect for private meetings and special conversations at care homes or hospices. For those who used to ride, it makes it easy to mount and be escorted for a gentle hack in beautiful countryside, knowing there are basic amenities like the loo….
Quite simply, it brings happiness to people who need horses in their lives during tough times....
