What is the need for your project in the community? How will your project improve local life?
Increase the number of clients using the site and the number of staff. The project will address unmet health needs of a vulnerable client group by offering stimulating exercise, therapeutic activity, social networks and motivation. With the opportunity of a new shop we can continue to offer real work experience in retail and employment for local people. A real chance to get out of the poverty trap. We will expand the number of volunteers.
What support do you have from the local community for your project?Northchurch Parish have given their support to this project and are willing to advertise the new project across the parish. Boxmoor Trust is a local charity that has supported us with rehoming some of their livestock for our therapeutic courses. They will continue to offer support. The local schools are committed to visiting and supporting the project in the long term.

Who will benefit from your project?
6 staff will be employed, 2 of these will be new posts for supported employment. 60 trainees in addition to those we already support. 10 new Volunteers. The local school children will access the services on a regular basis, 30 in an average class, 12 visits. The local community will be able to attend courses, make use of the site and enjoy it as a destination, we estimate 500 visitors a year based on our experience.
