WHAT IS THE NEED FOR YOUR PROJECT IN THE COMMUNITY? HOW WILL YOUR PROJECT IMPROVE LOCAL LIFE?Our charity run by volunteers to manage, maintain and fund raise keeps the park safe to use. Maintenance is key and we must replace 1) playbark retention posts; and 2) 9x junior and infant multi-play equipment support posts. We would be eventually forced to close the park and playground if we fail any ROSPA inspections.WHAT SUPPORT DO YOU HAVE FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR YOUR PROJECT?Full and committed support from young and old as evidenced by these two recent press releases. 1) www.leaderlive.co.uk/news/17862175.hundreds-enjoy-bbq-fun-sun-llanferres-playing-field/;
2) www.denbighshirefreepress.co.uk/news/18313923.llanferres-villagers-make-bat-boxes-bug-hotels-boost-wildlife/. Independent endorsement is evidenced by multiple Green Flag awards.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR PROJECT?
Llanferres has ~600 adults and children, and is used by the majority, but because the Park and Playground is well known we attract significantly more families from the wider towns of Mold and Ruthin. The facility has a built in BBQ for celebrations and local fund raising events, and is used for wildlife projects and for use by local school.

We are committed as Trustees by the objects of our charity to maintain the park and playground to ensure the health and safety of users. The project is required to make sure we meet these requirements in order to keep the park and playground open. We will use reserve funds from earlier fund raising for the balance and try and secure grant awards from other sources.
